DC Budgam for pacing up work on development Projects
Asks officers to achieve targets within set timeframe
BUDGAM, NOVEMBER 16: District Developmental Commissioner (DDC), Budgam, Tariq Hussain Ganie today chaired a review-cum-preparatory meeting to take stock of progress made under District Capex Budget till October-2019, The meeting also reviewed progress made under   centrally sponsored schemes besides status of languishing projects.
During the meeting it was told that about 69% expenditure has been achieved ending October- 2019 under various schemes and developmental projects taking in hand through various executing agencies including R&B, PHE, PDD, NABARD, PMGSY and CRF across the district.
It was given out that  under district capex budget 2019-20 out of the total outlay amounting to Rs. 18057.78 crore an amount of Rs. 4136.25 crore have released for priority and already approved schemes and projects.
Speaking on the occasion the DDC emphasized upon speedy completion of all tendered projects and schemes, besides timely completion of all ongoing languishing projects under various schemes and sectors including projects under R&B, PHE, Health, PDD, and NABARD.  It was given out that 115 projects have been identified as languishing projects under Education, R&B, PHE, Irrigation, Health, Social Welfare, PDD, H&UD, I&C, Horticulture etc.
The meeting was informed that an amount of Rs. 269.247 crore have been marked as balance amount which is required to mitigate the expenditure to be incurred under languishing project targets.
Speaking on the occasion the DDC urged upon officers and executing agencies to ensure completion of all projects within the stipulated time frame. He directed concerned authorities to visit the construction sites and take on spot review of implementation status and pace of progress.
The meeting among others was also attended by ADC, JD planning, SE Hydraulics, SE, R&B, ACD, CEO, all Executive Engineers of the district and other concerned.
