DDC Kishtwar presides over Weekly Block Diwas at Drabshalla
KISHTWAR, MAY 25: To redress the grievances of the people at their doorsteps and take the first hand appraisal of the developmental scenario in different blocks, the Block Diwas programmes were today held at all designated places of the district Kishtwar. District Development Commissioner (DDC)  Ashok Sharma chaired the block Diwas programme at Block headquarter Drabshalla, wherein local PRIs raised a range of  developmental  issues/demands.
DDC Councilor Drabshalla-A Ashok Parihar; DDC councilor Drabshalla-B Hans Raj Parihar; ACD Atul Dutt Sharma; DSWO Tariq Parveaz Qazi; Tehsildar Drabshalla Irshad Ahmed; BDO Drabshalla Sobia Fatima; ALC Kishtwar Amit Kumar; XEn PMGSY Kishtwar, Mohinder Singh Sen; CDPO Drabshalla Farhat Shamim, besides District and sectoral officers, PRIs and prominent citizens remained present on the occasion.
The elected representatives highlighted the demands of their respective areas and sought upgradation of education & health institutions; road infrastructure and streamlining of the services delivery mechanism.
Other issues included the employment of youth in Rattle HEPP, timely payment of compensation, Rehabilitation of Project Affected Families, tap water connection under JJM, etc.
Most of the grievances were redressed by the DDC on the spot by passing a slew of directions to the concerned departments. The departments were also asked to address the rest of the issues in a time bound manner.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC  assured the locals and PRIs that the local youth will be given employment in the HEPP on priority basis in a phased and transparent manner.
Besides, he also urged PRIs to work in tandem with concerned departments for immediate floating of the tenders on works under Jal Jivan Mission so that the left out habitations are saturated with tap water connections.
Meanwhile, similar Block Diwas programme was convened at Village Waithana Panchayat Dadpeth of Block Mughal Maidan and was presided over by Sub Divisional Magistrate,SDM, Chatroo Inderjeet Parihar in presence of BDO Mughal Maidan Tasleem Javaid Wani, ZEO Inderwal Sunil Rana, officials from various Departments and PRIs.
Dozens of grievances of residents of Waithana were redressed on the spot and SDM Chatroo along with BDO Mughal Maidan and ZEO Inderwal also inspected Govt UPS Waithana and interacted  with students.
